‘Active for Life’ is the vision of the Office for Recreation and Sport Strategic Plan 2009 – 2011.
ORS Executive Director Paul Anderson launched the Strategic Plan at an end of year function for sport and recreation industry representatives at Hindmarsh Stadium on 15 December 2008.
Mr Anderson said the ‘Active for Life’ vision worked towards having all South Australians enjoying lives enriched through participation in active recreation and sport.
He said the ORS was dedicated to an ‘Active for Life’ South Australia.
“The Strategic Plan has been developed following consultation with the recreation and sport industry,” Mr Anderson said.
“Industry engagement during the research phase of this plan’s creation was a key priority for the ORS. Our strategic framework reflects our commitment to continue to engage with our stakeholders to create open communication channels and more opportunities to work together.”
Sporting bodies present at the launch included Sport SA, Recreation SA, Football Federation SA, Tennis SA and Riding for the Disabled.
