Communities Active Program
2008-09 Round: The 2008-09 Move It! round
has closed. It is anticipated organisations will be notified in November 2008.
Program Overview
The Move It! Making Communities Active Program provides financial
assistance to sport and active recreation
organisations for projects that target inactive people in South Australia.
Projects that address those groups with limited access and low participation rates in active recreation and sport (eg: children under the guardianship of the Minister, homeless/marginalized, etc) and the general inactive community will be considered.
All applications will be assessed against the following criteria.
The extent to which the project:
- Will increase participation in active recreation and sport
- Will identify and address the barriers to participation in active recreation and sport
- Develops sustainable partnerships with other stakeholders, and
- Is viable and sustainable
Applicants can apply for up to $50,000 per year. Funding for a project can be approved for up to 3 years.
Funding is not provided for facility
projects under this program. Please refer to the Active Club
Program or Community Recreation and Sport Facilities Program.
